Clamping Options

Thermal Head Mounting Devices:

 

  • Clamp operates by piston
  • Press operates by electric motor and load cell

 

The Samson/Artic systems have two options to mount the Thermal Head to the Device Under Test (DUT):

 

  • Piston Clamping
  • Press

The piston clamp is a device where one side of the Thermal Head is mounted to a piston, and the pedestal side touches the DUT.

ARTIC Thermal Head is mounted to the Press

The Thermal Head of the Samson/Artic is mounted to an electric motor that can control the force on the DUT between 2 and 100 kg, with an accuracy of ±20 grams.

SAMSON Thermal Head is mounted to the Press
